I find long exposure photography peaceful. It helps me deal with the negative aspects of living with autism. I have wanted to capture a long exposure photo of the water surrounding this old dock for years, but could never seem to get to this beach by the lighthouse when there was enough movement in the water for what I envisioned. I have taken around a dozen photos here but the conditions were never quite right, and while I believe they were decent, they were not what I pictured in my mind. Thi

A pair of owls took over an abandoned eagles' nest in a pine stand. Lately some expressed concern at seeing only a single owl, no longer the pair. On this day I met a young videographer who pointed out the distant owl out as he shot from afar. I drove to the lighthouse for a few minutes then headed back out. I noticed the owl had flown across the road and perched relatively close. Unfortunately, the young videographer had left the area so I could not share. I parked ahead, hiked back and using

I am always chasing the northern lights when I am up north. This was at 2am taken with my Samsung S23. Notice the lighthouse and the big dipper! I had no idea how hard it is to catch the aurora. You never know when the lights will appear, dance in the sky, change colors or disappear as fast as they came. It was a magical night.

Working on trying new things! Plucked this Puff out of my front yard flower bed. Used a small compact mirror to create the shot using natural daylight thorough the window. As a deep space photographer, I like to take photos of outer space targets that our eyes cannot see. These photos require a lot of patience and a lot of clear nights reason why my telescopes are working almost every night when it isn't cloudy. Astrophotography is very different from all the other types of photography, a single photo sometimes requires tens of hours under the clear night sky but the result is very satisfying. In this photo, I would like to present to you the California Nebula

This is part of a huge street art display, a real gem in Leeds. I loved the different displays of hands walking, creates a real sense of movement and intrigue. Photo was taken around 11am. The light you see shining on the hand is from a wall light. Camera setting - F4.2, 1/400 shutter and ISO 200.
